Timothy Bradley vs Manny Pacquiao III In 2015?

Former WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is coming off the first loss of his professional career. After winning the belt from Manny Pacquiao in a controversial 2012 split decision, ‘Desert Storm’ went on to defend it twice before losing in April 2014 in a rematch with ‘Pac Man’. Injured in the one-sided rematch this past April, Bradley is eyeing a December return, but only wants the best competition in his comeback. All this considered, could we see Timothy Bradley vs Manny Pacquiao III in 2015?Boxers Manny Pacquiao (L) and Timothy Br

Bradley’s 33-1 record speaks for itself, and the Californian holds notable wins over Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, Devon Alexander and Joel Casamayor. Although no rumours of his potential comeback fight have started circulating, you’d have to imagine that there are some pretty big welterweight names being considered. Perhaps a bout with ‘Unstoppable’ Bethel Ushona is on the cards?

Manny Pacquiao is currently set to face light-welterweight WBO champion Chris Algeri in a November showdown. If Bradley is back to fitness by the end of this year, then it may be a no-brainer booking for the rematch, if Bradley is successful in his respective fight. There are of course options such as a rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez, after ‘Desert Storm’ squeaked past him in 2013 with a split decision win.

Newly crowned IBF champion Kell Brook is being talked about in a potential fight with Amir Khan, but the Sheffield raised boxer could well be among the potential candidates for Bradley. We mustn’t forget that Khan himself is also relevant in the WBO rankings, and also that the timing may not be right for a fight with Brook at the moment. For ‘Desert Storm’ the possibilities are almost endless.

It has to be said though, the biggest potential fight for Bradley is a third against Pacquiao. Although the Philippine fan favourite was dominant in their second bout, the rankings are what they are. If Bradley is impressive in his return from the sidelines, and even if Pacquiao loses to Algeri in November, there is plenty of scope for the trilogy fight. What do you think, will we see Timothy Bradley vs Manny Pacquiao III in 2015?
