Riddick Bowe tops the list of fighting legends joining the International Boxing Hall Of Fame 2015….

One of the most exciting and dominant heavyweight champions of the 1990’s, Riddick Bowe, has today been inducted in to the International Boxing Hall Of Fame 2015. “Big Daddy” retired with a 40-1-1 NC record with a total of 33 wins by knockout. Bowe became most well known for his action packed trilogy of fights with Evander Holyfield.

Bowe won the WBA, WBC & IBF titles from Holyfield in their first fight, then lost them to “The Real Deal” in the 1993 rematch. An ugly 8th round TKO of an ill Evander Holyfield in 1995 won the rubber match and rivalry for Bowe. Also inducted in to the Boxing Hall Of Fame 2015 was former WBC, WBO & IBF featherweight champion Naseem Hamed.

“Prince” retired with a 36-1 record, having only ever lost to fellow legend Marco Antonio Barrera. Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini was also welcomed to the Boxing Hall Of Fame. The former WBA lightweight champion had a 29-5 record as he retired in 1992, and was known for his ferocious heart and brutal power.

Also inducted was ESPN analyst Steve Collins, ref Steve Smoger, broadcaster Jim Lampley, and light-flyweight champion Yoko Gushiken. Check out what the Boxing Hall Of Fame 2015 inductees had to say courtesy of

I will be very proud to be there because some of my fighters that I represented are already there like Alexis Arguello, Pipino Cuevas and ‘Chiquita’ Gonzalez. I’m very, very happy. This is the best news in my boxing life.”

I look forward with great excitement to making my first trip to Canastota this summer to accept the honor on behalf of my family, my friends, and everyone at HBO and at ringside who has helped to support my long, lucky tenure in boxing. I couldn’t be more appreciative.”
