Manny Pacquiao’s latest training session had both good as well as bad news for his opponent Lucas Matthysse, one may say.

The Filipino legend accidentally chipped his trainer Buboy Fernandez’s tooth with a wayward right hand to the chin during a mitts session.

While Matthyse must be aware of Pacquiao’s punching power, he will take heart from the fact that the latter is missing the target this way.

The duo will trade punches for the WBA World Welterweight title in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday night. And Pacquiao is expecting a tough battle.

“I’m enjoying training. I’m happy. I still have my speed and power. I’m thankful I still have that skill,” said the 39-year-old, an eight-division world champion.

“I’m not going to promise a knockout, but if there’s a chance, why not?

“I’ve watched a couple of his fights. He’s fast. I like his style. Fighting him will be good and exciting.”

The duo will meet for the official weigh-in later on Friday for the final time before the fight.
