Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois has said comparisons with world champion Anthony Joshua don’t interest him as he looks to carve his own path in professional boxing.

Like Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), Dubois (5-0, 5 KOs) is also known for finishing his fights within the distance, thanks to the ruthless power he possesses.

Legendary promoter Frank Warren went on to say that Dubois punches harder than any other Brit and that he could trouble Joshua in about 12 months’ time.

“People might make comparisons with Anthony Joshua and the job he did on Darch in his fourth fight, but that doesn’t interest me at all,” Dubois wrote in his column for BoxingScene.

He added: “I am not about comparing myself to anyone, it about being me, I am Daniel Dubois and there is nobody else like me. I will just go in there and do my thing.”

Dubois is currently preparing for his sixth fight, against countryman Dorian Darch on December 9 at Copper Box Arena. Notably, Joshua had stopped Darch in the second round when they fought back in February 2014.
