Anthony Joshua’s war of words with Tyson Fury recommenced amid talks of a unification showdown with Deontay Wilder.

Joshua, who added the WBO heavyweight belt to his WBA, IBO and IBF belts following a decision win over Joseph Parker recently, is expected to take on Wilder, the WBC holder, later this year.

But, Fury, the former IBO, IBF, WBA and WBO champion who hasn’t fought since 2015 due to “medical investigation and personal issues”, took a swipe at Joshua on Instagram.

“There can only be 1! I’m the true king & think people seen that tonight #limitededition #Gypsyking. Stay blessed & remember we ent never left!” he wrote alongside a throwback picture of himself with all his belts.

However, in an interview with Sky Sports News, Joshua has asked Fury to stop talking and start acting.

“There is no denying Tyson knows how to box. He is a good boxer,” Joshua said.

“But until he makes his return to the ring, I cannot sit down and wait patiently at home for Tyson Fury’s return. I have a career and goals I want to achieve so I am focusing on what I am doing.

“When he gets himself together… boxing fans are awaiting his return.

“He has to get himself back in action and worry about what he is doing, rather than sitting at home commentating on my fights.”
