Despite suffering a brutal knockout in the WBC World Middleweight title bout, Amir ‘King’ Khan has called for a rematch with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

Khan (31-3-0), who troubled Canelo (47-1-1) with his speed before being caught by a powerful right hand in the sixth round, said that he wouldn’t climb up the weight category again, and that he’s always in to trade punches with Canelo in the 147 lbs division.

“I don’t think I’ll be going up to that weight again,” Khan was quoted as saying by

“I’m going to be real and I’m going to tell you there’s no point because I’m risking my life and my health,” he continued. “I’ve got a family. If he came down to my weight, I’d take the fight any day.”

“He would never come to my weight, I don’t think it will ever happen again,” he added of Canelo, who is next scheduled to enter the ring on September 17 against a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent at the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
