Errol Spence Jr may be fighting some of the biggest names in the professional circuit. But, the American boxer may have to deal with an old rival whom he fought in the amateur ranks.

India’s Vikas Krishan had been originally declared the winner against Spence Jr in their 2012 London Olympics bout. The result, however, was overturned after ‘The Truth’ and his team appealed the decision to the Amateur International Boxing Association.

Krishan, who will turn professional at the end of this year, has vowed to exact revenge as he eyes a showdown with the undefeated Spence Jr (23-0, 20 KOs) – the current IBF welterweight champion – once he runs through his first “12-15” fights.

“He’s one of my main targets when I go pro — because of him I’m turning pro,” Krishan, 26, was quoted as saying by boxingscene.com.

He added: “First I need to win all of my (pro) fights, my first 12 to 15 fights, and then I will fight him. I will beat him. I beat him at the Olympics and I will beat him again.”

Meanwhile, Krishan, an Asian Games gold medallist, is currently competing at the Commonwealth Games, where he is already through to the semi-finals of the 75kg event.
