Promoter Eddie Hearn last week said he was unsure if George Groves would compete in the World Boxing Super Series final against Callum Smith.

Groves, however, has quashed all the talks by sharing a positive update on his Instagram account.

The WBA super middleweight champion dislocated his shoulder en route to winning the IBO title with a unanimous decision win over fellow Brit Chris Eubank Jr in February.

Consequently, his June 2 bout against WBC Diamond champion and undefeated Callum Smith was postponed to a yet-to-be-confirmed date.

Posting a video of himself bench-pressing, Groves wrote: “Shoulders coming along very nicely!

“Not usually one to post the inner workings of the gym but… it’s good to be lifting. Even if it’s just the baby weights his week.

“Next week we start punching and we start loading up the bar!”

Now that’s some good news for boxing fans! Who ya got winning?
